Man or Boar, you decide

Sad I am, yes.

To see that boorish behaviour and strong-arm tactics being brought to bear on other people.
We all know that this day and age, it is now impossible to hold against the tide of popular opnion and also the internet created an online community whose voice could not be drown out even when it is in contrary to other traditional media.

This is even more the case when highlighted by this little article by Mr Miyagi which is posted on Today.

Interesting result ensues not to the amazement of everyone.

Those frequent the forum found the contested thread locked and removed with the owner of the business in question threatening to sue the forums.

Also, it seems like the customer is not spared as well, the business owner apparantly picked up the customer's email address which happens to be his company email address and talked to the company.

High handed it is and unfortunately, it goes to show that high handedness and implied bullying can still get you your right of way. Unfortunately, the damage is now doen and those which read the thread will now realised that it is no longer under wraps.........

1 Holiday less

There will not be any contest and that again, we will wait another 6 yrs to see if we have the chance to choose our President.

Also it clearly means that we will not have 1 more day of public holiday

Let me make it straight in the first place that I am no supporter of Mr Kwan. In fact, even if he is nominated, he will not be getting my vote. But that's my choice at the poll and that it would have been every single eligible voters choice should the prez election came.

The whole idea is that, we choose.

But the whole concert of event that took place shows that I am not trusted to cast my vote, in fact, it seems that we as voters are dangerous and need protection from ourselves.

Well, the moment that Mr Kwan stepped up to the plate, he was quite doomed to fail. Very simple, he has a few skeleton in his closet and that, he did not keep it shut too well, making him an easy prey to anyone that would like to pry and make for all to see his failing and the mismatch of him with the office that he is aspiring for. In fact, his statement that he is holding all the prestigious office just so that he can be qualified sound pretentious at best.

Then come to his 3 year stint at JTC. For goodness sake, he is there just to clock time so to speak and he is allowed to be there for 3 yr as a band 4 performer and according to his own admission, paid performance bonus.......That makes it interesting that :
1). he is allowed there despite his poor performance.
2). allowing a non-performer in such key position out of kindness of heart is doing an injustice to the corporation.

As for His stint at Highflux, I shan't comment.

But yet, this raise question that has the bar been set to allow people with aspiration only to hold key position for that period and that those that should truly run for the job had been kept out due to this bar? that I guess is the question that begs to be answered.

No matter how right they are in not issuing the cert, the damage is done. Those that are critical of the whole election process will be more entrench in their belief that election is nothing more than mere shadow play. The people have their president elected or not and this issue will be close for another 6 years.

While we have president since our independence, it is only in the laast decade that the poeple are in a way or another, involved in the process of electing the government in the sense that the purpose of the president act as a 2nd key to the reserves and in a way, check and balance the parliament. The office is not executive in authority with the exception of pardoning deathrows, have lesser impact than countries like United states. While some can say that the brits are fine with only the Prime minister as the head of Parliament, lets not forget that in existence, there is a House of Lords not unlike that as an upper house which can have a say in the issues and policies of the kingdom.

All I am trying to say, if boils down to a statement, will be that, this chapter is now close but it is high time that we look at the candidates so far and rethink the process less it becomes an issue that none amidst the 400~500 eligible would want to run for the office and that those who did, less the exceptions are qualified.

An Ode

I feel that its a good time to totally murder a song....

Feeble attemp, but lets try

** is a bluddy Arse
(Sing to the tune of Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word – Elton John)

What have I done to make you bash me
What have I done to get gang banged
Why everyday lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that I've got ban

What do I do to make you slap me
What have I got to do to be bash
What do I say when thread get locked
And sorry seems to be the hardest word

Chorus:
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And I'm getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't you just agree
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

Chorus

What have I done to make you bash me
What have I done to get gang banged
Why everyday lightning strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word

Of Sex, pride and prejudice

First off, for the first time in history, there will be an exhibition which talks about and nothing other than......Sex

Yes, I am talking about SEXPO Singapore 2005

And of course, the news became a thread in SPUG

Now, normally, it would have been nothing more than just a few serious remarks followed by a lot of ribbing and some harebrain post.

However, the He-who-I-shall-not-name came in and start claiming that the article from Today was not quoted correctly. In fact, to a point, it becomes more an issue that the started of the thread either :

1). Choose to omit a part of the article

2). Does not know how to flip a pdf file to the next page

3). it was an inadvertent error of omission, and not of commission.

So, it all went down hill and that the whole tread got lock.

Am I surprise? hardly. I believe that this dude caused more thread to be locked up.
Am I angry with this dude? why should I? Do you get angry with babies peeing and crapping in thier diapers? no....

However, what amaze me is that, I was listening to 100.3 this morning, and they were talking about the LTA asking some people to shift out of their house within a month due to the Circle line project which rendered the building dangerous.

I notice there are some similarities between how our authorities work and how this dude operates :

1). Both are never wrong

2). They claim that it is for the greater good

3). They calculate and make sure that they will never be shortchanged. Even if it means you are, tough

4). Claiming to be open, they will brush you aside if your viewpoint is different

5). Both seems (but this dude only claimed) to had extremely stellar scholastic achievements

6). They don't really care how you feel about them

7). Will refute you to a tooth even if they have no grounds

8). There are bound to be statistics which they can quote (However, this dude might have some that is either totally irrelevant or skewered to his favour)

9). Extremely good in english but absolutely perfunctory in manners

10). Both will tell you that there are alternatives.

But for both of them, the greatest similarity happens to be a song

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word – Elton John

What have I got to do to make you love me
What have I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there

What do I do to make you want me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
And sorry seems to be the hardest word

Chorus:
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

Chorus

What do I do to make you love me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I do when lightning

strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word

Which, while our government has done well for the past 40 yrs or so, this dude managed to only lock almost every single thread if he post more than 3 times in it.

Despite the fact that there are people who dislike him.... there had been people that asked for him to be unbanned a number of time....but, many like myself are probably if it is worth the effort just so he can go about goes about ilking more people and closing more thread.

Well, I could only think of a 3 letter word that is causing all these problem......EGO

Yes, nothing more and nothing less.

So, Ego makes 1 feels that they are a balancing voice
it makes one feels that they are never wrong
Even if they are wrong, its the other people that is wrong.
Nobody is ever fair to them
and that anyone that disagree with them are all wrong

Well, I may be wrong, ignoramus, but really, I look into the mirror, and I can say that, I am not living on other good grace and that while I am wrong some time........

I am man enough to admit it.

Just wondering if that dude has cajuns enough to admit it..........................

Maybe when pig flys
